Principal Engineer

• Analyze process and project requirements into technical recommendations and share knowledge in the organization: you act as the “go to” person for questions and problems. Keep your knowledge up to date by training, peer learning, networking… and build relationships with suppliers and partners;
• Co-lead the team of external engineers through onboarding and coaching, ensuring that business processes are followed and work on improvements and pro-actively manage resources. Have a close connect with partners on progress and priorities;
• Project Management of multidisciplinary teams and with end-to-end accountability. This includes defining to the project scope, team, planning and budget; writing of technical specs and leading the tendering process; supervising commissioning and construction in the field; leading the qualification process and coordinate risk assessments;
• Spokesperson for equipment qualification by inspections and approval of qualification documents and systems;
• Lead and support specific strategic investments through feasibility studies, capacity analysis, technology screening and strategic project management.

• Master’s degree in Engineering and proven experience in Pharmaceuticals engineering with a minimum of 8 years;
• Profound knowledge of Solids equipment: feeders, blenders, spray dryers, granulators, tablet presses;
• Able to lead a team demonstrating strong organization, prioritization and communication skills;
• Consistent track record in project delivery (budget, timelines & project objectives) – experience with FPX methodology or equivalent project management tools;
• Full understanding of GMP in equipment design, machine directive, ATEX regulations, PED, piping standards, risk analysis methods (HAZOP, FMEA);
• Good basic knowledge of automation systems like PLC and DCS including Data Integrity aspects;
• Good in developing relationships with the ability to build partnerships and collaborate both internally and externally;
• Dutch – native or bilingual;
• English – full professional proficiency;
• Advanced in MS project and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, …)
