Senior Export Compliance Coordinator

Senior Export Compliance Coordinator that will oversee the customs regulations. It is a compliance function for overall logistics set up to customers. This role involves tariff classifications, customs and origin rulings, incoterms and export documentation.

Responsibilities Senior Export Compliance Coordinator

What will you do?

You will transition the Traffic team into an operationally excellent export knowledge center, providing pro-active support for new business models or export destinations. You will work with the Shipping Lead on daily shipments planning, carrier pick up schedules and issues resolution. You will provide optimal communication to commercial teams on queries, status requests and available logistics options.

Furthermore, you:

Select and work with preferred carriers on optimized set up to improve logistics service levels to customers.
Extend expertise of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule on a global level in accordance with EU Customs laws, local country laws and world customs organization (WCO) rules and regulations.
Develop and implement operational processes to ensure compliance with regional shipping terms and export regulations.
Provide support and guidance to Intralox business units and global subsidiaries on import/export classification related issues.
Develop internal training and audit plans to support continuous improvement initiatives
Develop and monitor operational KPIs

Requirements Senior Export Compliance Coordinator

Who are you?

  • More than 5 years’ experience working in freight-forwarding/logistics
  • Proven International Export/Import Compliance experience. This would include classification of products, working directly with EU and foreign Customs agencies, Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders.
  • Practical knowledge of NL and EU customs and origin rulings
  • A confident, example setting team player with a high mission of service
  • A proficient computer user including the full Microsoft Office package. Knowledge of MS Office 365 & Oracle EBS is preferred.
  • Able to work in a busy, dynamic environment, effectively prioritizing workload
  • Prior experience with managing people and projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, planning and organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
